Be A Part Of Tarneit’s First Night Market
A new community night market in Tarneit is being developed by Wyndham City, and you’re invited to take part!
The market is set to be held on the grounds of the Penrose Promenade Community Centre on Friday 23rd March, 2018.
Wyndham City’s Arts, Culture and Heritage portfolio holder, Cr Tony Hooper, said the event would offer something for the whole family to enjoy.
“This is the first time we’ve ever held this event in Tarneit and the concept is to emulate the variety enjoyed at city night markets with crafts, food and music – but with a unique neighbourhood feel, providing local musicians, artisans and businesses with an opportunity to showcase their work while providing residents with free family entertainment close to home,” Cr Hooper said.
“With such rich cultural diversity in Wyndham, we have an opportunity to create a unique market experience featuring tastes, crafts and music from around the world.”
“We’re now calling on local residents and businesses to get involved by hosting a stall or signing up as a performer. From Ethiopian coffee ceremonies to Henna Body art, Lion dancing or handmade crafts, there are so many ways for people to get involved.”
Expressions of interest for stallholders and performers are currently open until Wednesday 21st February.
